...NSBHS HOSA Members! 43 members will be going to state competition. Click here for a complete list of winners. NSBHS had 19-First Place Winners; 11-2nd Place Winners; 13-3rd Place Winners and 3-5th Place Winners.
...Congratulations to the NSBHS Girls Weightlifting Team for placing 3rd in the state.
...to Danielle Gellermann who is the 2012 Sweetheart for FFA District 6. She competed against 30 other FFA ladies. Sinc she also won the District Extemporaneous Speaking Contest, she will compete at the state level in June at the state convention.
...to sophomore Justin Peters and senior Charlie Nighswonger for being selected for the 2-12 All State Concert Band and the All State Honors Band.
...to the following girls who qualified for Weightlifting Regionals: Shannon Wardner, Hannah Wardner, Rebecca Dean, Brianna McCauley, Koren Westberg, Sarah Barchard, Pamela Montanez, Nicole Heil.
...NSBHS FFA students who did well at the sub district contests. Nick Craig took first place in tractor driving; Victoria Sachs took first place in Creed Speaking; Danielle Gellermann took first place in Extemporaneous speaking; and Emily Wolcott took third in Prepared Speaking.
...NSBHS HOSA Team which was awarded the National Outstanding HOSA Chapter for the third year in a row!!! Thanks to the documentation completed by Natasha Lopes. The team also received recognition for Outstanding HOSA Week activities. The NSBHS Medical Reserve Corps team placed 2nd in the nation. NSBHS was represented by Tyler Lee and Cooper Engler Lyssa Bergeron, Alex Dewey, Erik Danskine, Danielle Vandenberg and Jaclyn Burkard. Thank you HOSA students and sponsor, Ms. Heifner.
...NSBHS Showdolls went to Dance camp this summer in Tampa, Florida. They earned accolades for 1st place in their Home Routine Evaluation, Superior Rating for all routines learned at camp, and 1st place in Drill Downs,. In addition, they were voted by the staff for the 110% Recognition Award, and the Showdoll Team received the Leadership Award. Coach Lindsay was chosen by all other coaches for the Leadership Award. Congratulations Showdolls!
