Class of 2021 Senior Graduation Information Meeting

Graduation - Class of 2021

For the Class of 2021 graduation, VCS will follow the same model used successfully last year.  Graduates will be socially distanced during the graduation ceremony at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach.  Attendance will be limited, with up to six tickets for each senior available for purchase through their high schools. Ceremonies will be professionally live-streamed to allow extended family to watch remotely.  They will also be recorded and posted on the district website.

Dates and procedures are subject to change based on CDC Guidelines.

Each graduate is permitted to purchase eight (8) tickets.

Ticket & Parking Pass Purchases Prices & Dates are TBD.

The schedule is as follows, though dates are subject to change:

Graduation Practice - Thursday, June 3, 2021 @ 7:30 a.m. - Ocean Center, Daytona Beach

Graduation Ceremony - Saturday, June 5, 2021 @ 7:30 p.m. - Ocean Center, Daytona Beach

Graduation Procedures at Ocean Center

IMPORTANT:  New Graduation Procedures at the Ocean Center

  • Each ticket holder, including children, may carry an approved clear bag and a clutch purse
  • One clear bag no larger than 12" x 6" x 12" or one-gallon clear Ziploc, or similar bag
  • One small clutch bag or purse no larger than 6.5"x6.5", with or without a strap
  • Diapers an dwipes may be carried in a clear bag; however, diaper bags are not permitted
  • Additional clothing, blankets, etc. are permitted if carried loosely or in an approved clear bag
  • Small camers, binoculars and cell phones may be carried loosely or in an approved clear bag

Class of 2021 - Walking in White

Dear Senior,

Please complete and submit this application to qualify for “Walking in White”. Your counselor will verify the number of courses taken, SAT/ACT scores, weighted GPA and community service hours prior to the distribution of the cap and gowns. You must meet every criteria item by Friday, April 2, 2021. If you currently meet all requirements, please submit this form as soon as it is completed.

Important FAFSA Class of 2021 Information:

This is a reminder for you to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) if you are planning to attend a college or university after High School.

It is important for all Class of 2021 students and families to complete the FAFSA application. Even if you believe that you may not qualify for federal aid, you may qualify for other merit based scholarships. The deadlines are fast approaching, please contact your intended college or university for specific deadlines.
